Treating insulin resistance
Healthy eating and getting enough physical activity can help your body better use insulin. However, when diet and exercise aren’t enough, a certain type of oral medication called thiazolidinediones (TZDs for short) can be used to help make your body more sensitive to insulin.
Ask your health professional if a TZD might help you manage your type 2 diabetes by addressing insulin resistance.
